New Federal Stat 'National Day of Truth and Reconciliation' - September 30th

The Province of BC has aligned with the recently-passed federal legislation marking September 30th as the 'National Day of Truth and Reconciliation.' Please see our amended school calendar for the addition of the new statutory day of recognition. Our schools will be closed to allow our students, staff, and communities to participate in events related to our collective commitment to truth and reconciliation.

At the Board meeting on Monday, June 14, 2021, the following policies were given various readings:
• 500.2 – Appeals Procedures Bylaw – 2nd Reading
• 602.1 – Locally Developed Courses and Instructional Materials – 1st and 2nd Readings for removal
• 602.4 – Board/Authority Authorized Courses – 1st and 2nd Readings
• 602.6 – Childcare Programs in School District Facilities – 1st Reading

Last day of classes for Middle Years Students June 23, 2021
Exams for grades 9-12 June 21-23, 2021
Lockers to be empty by June 22, 2021 end of day
Report cards to go out in the mail on June 29, 2021
School closes for the summer on June 30, 2021 - Office Reopens August 30, 2021
August 31, 2021 - Counsellors will be available by appointment.
September 7, 2021 First day of the 2021/2022 School Year!

COVID Vaccine Clinics for 12-17 Year Olds

Vanderhoof vaccine clinics for youth aged 12-17 will be coming up in June. Parents and students can register for an appointment by calling the Vanderhoof Health Centre at 250-567-6900. Northern Health has confirmed they will be using the Pfizer vaccine. The clinics will be held at the Friendship Centre on Victoria St.
